Regent Production Guild (2022)

Before RU ACM SIGGRAPH, I founded a small animation club called the Regent Production Guild (RPG for short), which had only ten members, including my cabinet and me. RPG set the foundation for what would become the RU ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter once I got the club chartered with SIGGRAPH.
All of the branding for RPG and RU ACM SIGGRAPH was made by yours truly with regard for our university colors and design.
That is, all except for our club mascot!
RPG Mascot Contest

Early in the operations of RPG we hosted a mascot design contest for our members to contribute to the worldbuilding of our club. Roughly 18-20 members entered the contest but of course only one entry won first place - securing itself as our club mascot.
Sheep-lion Live2D
​
Our winner, Sheep-lion (by Danielle Martin), became our beloved mascot and newscaster. With the idea of a newscaster in mind, I began developing a Live2D model of the mascot to use facial tracking with so we could create fun news update videos with him.
Fall '22 Student Comic Anthology: Fall From Space
​
As straightforward as it sounds we also hosted a comic anthology zine for members to contribute short comics to during the fall semester of 2022. We took suggestions for the theme and settled on 'Autumn Space Opera' which yielded some interesting comics, illustrations, and prose.

I submitted a short comic of my own and then as the project coordinator I did all of the compiling and design in Adobe InDesign. Once it was compiled I sent it to be printed and completed it with a custom dust cover. Roughly 40 books were printed with ten going to the ten contributing artists and the rest being sold at future Artist Alleys.
RU ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter (2023)

Thanks to the success of our first year as the Regent Production Guild I was able to get our club chartered with ACM SIGGRAPH transforming us formally into the RU ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter.
Spring '23 Artist Alley
​
As a chapter, we hosted our first major in-person event - the Artist Alley! We sold 13 table spaces during our first Artist Alley and we have hosted one once every semester since.
RU ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter (2024)
​
Due to graduating in May of 2024, I stepped down as chair that January and passed the spot off to my trusted vice-chair. During my time as chair, we held many other events such as guest speakers, demo reel and resume reviews, story bible presentation night, game nights, drawing nights, and regularly occurring animated movie nights. It was an incredible honor to lead the club during my time at Regent University and I am proud of what the RU ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter has stood for.
